Joseph Caruana, M.B.A., B.A. (Hons.)

Mr. Joseph Caruana was born in Marsaxlokk, Malta on the 2 May 1961. He was educated at the Archbishop's Seminary in Floriana, Government's Upper Secondary School and then the University of Malta where he graduated B.A. Honours in Public Administration in 1985.

Mr. Caruana joined the Civil Service as a student-worker in 1980 and in 1985 was appointed Principal Officer at the Land Department and given responsibility for the Revenue Collection function. Mr. Caruana was appointed Senior Principal in 1996 and in the same year he was given the additional role of Divisional IT Projects Coordinator.

In October 1999 Mr. Caruana was appointed as Director of the Estate Management Department within the Government Property Division, Ministry for Justice and Home Affairs.

In November 2001, Mr. Caruana graduated with distinction from the University of Malta as Masters in Business Administration (Executive).

Mr. Caruana is married to Doris, neč Zerafa, and they have two sons, Andre'-Joseph and Jacques-Yves.
