Vincent Gilson

Mr. Vincent Gilson was born in Paola on the 1st September 1953. He received his primary education at the Paola Primary School and his secondary education at the archbishop's Seminary in Floriana.

Mr. Gilson joined the Civil Service in 1975 as a Clerk at the Land Department. He worked in most sections within the same department with different responsibilities and in November 2006 he was appointed Assistant Director Enforcement in the same Department, then re-organized as the Government Property Division.

In November 2008, following consultation with the Church Authorities, Mr. Gilson was appointed as Director-Designate Joint Office, within the Government Property Department, Ministry of Finance, the Economy and Investment and in March 2009 he was appointed Director Joint Office. His main function is to administer the property transferred to the State by virtue of an agreement entered into between the Holy See and Malta on the 28 November 1991.

He is married to Miriam nee' Stafrace and has two children. He is involved in voluntary community work at Christ the King Parish Church, Paola.
